So DC made a movie called Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox and it’s fucking amazing. This is from that movie. If you have any interest in DC Superheroes you should go watch that right now.
Cause here be spoilers:
This is pretty much the end of the movie. Flash, in an attempt to stop his mother from getting murdered messes up the timeline, and one of the messes is the fact that in this alternative timeline Bruce Wayne is the one ending up murdered that night outside the theatre. Bruce mother goes insane and goes all jokery and his father becomes a more brutal Batman. Flash and the Thomas Wayne Batman ends up fixing stuff, and Thomas fucking Wayne knows that by doing this he will end his own timeline. But he do it anyway since he’s a good person and a father who loved his son more than anything. But before he ceases to be, he gives Flash a letter to his son. Before Flash gives Bruce the letter he’s standing there and explaining what happened and the fact that he actually still remembers both his timelines now, he has the memories of all those birthdays with his mother, as well as the “correct” timeline of his mother being murdered. And then he hands Bruce the letter.
This is Bruce “I have some issues” Wayne receiving a letter from his dead father and all you ever see from the letter is “Love Always, Your Father - Thomas Wayne” and then Bruce tears. For us who love are emotional and have a love for the tragic superheroes this is the big moment. This is where we start to cry.
And someone put fucking Dick Butt on it.
